Beginner (Level 1)

220 Fitness Adult Beginner Swim lesson offers a learn at your own pace swim class.  This class is developed for adults and older teens with little or no previous swimming experience under the guidance of a trained certified swim instructor. Basic treading water, front and back float, front crawl stroke (freestyle), back flutter kick, safe water entries (feet first) and exits, basic jump and safety water skills will be covered.  The emphasis in this level is on developing confidence and feel comfortable in and around water. A swimming cap is mandatory.

Intermediate (Level 2)

220 Fitness Adult Intermediate Swim lesson offers the next level in swimming where students proceed to improve what they have learned at the previous level (Beginner Level 1). Students with some swimming experience will improve the basics of front crawl (freestyle) by focusing on rotary breathing, kick and stamina (25 meter swim), beginner backstroke, floating in deep water, basic dive, underwater stream glide, jump from height in a lifejacket, throwing assist and caring for conscious choking victim. A swimming cap is mandatory.

Advance Swim (Level 3)

220 Fitness Adult Advance Swim lesson offers the next level in swimming where students proceed to improve what they have learned at the previous level (Intermediate Level 2). Students who already know how to swim freestyle will rise to the level of lap swimming (25 -100-meter swim). Students will improve stroke mechanics in freestyle and backstroke.  They will also learn diving, one minute of survival floating, treading water and flip turns. In addition, they will learn competitive kicks such as butterfly and breaststroke kick. Lastly, they will learn elementary backstroke, sidestroke and rescue breathing.

A swimming cap is mandatory.

220 Fitness Adult Swim For Fitness lesson offers the next level in swimming where students proceed to improve what they have learned at the previous level (Advance Level 3). Lessons will focus on improving/learning competitive swimming strokes; freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly in a swim team set up.  You will learn swim team etiquette, flip turns, dive from the starting blocks, feet first surface dive and retrieve an object from 8 feet, cooper 12-minute swim test will be provided towards the end of the swim sessions to test your aerobic capacity.  A swimming cap is mandatory.
